The Teak tree is a tropical hardwood tree that can be planted in a tree patch. Teak trees are a staple of tree farming due to their high yield and relative ease of cultivation. Requirements
To plant a Teak tree, players must have:
- A Farming level of 35.
- Access to a tree patch located in various locations, such as Karamja and the Woodcutting Guild.
- Teak seeds, which can be obtained from various sources, including monsters, purchasing from farmers, and certain tree spirit drops.
Planting and Growing
To plant a Teak tree, players must first clear the tree patch if there is any existing tree. Once cleared, players should plant the Teak seed by using it on the empty patch. The process of planting a Teak tree requires a seed dibber.
After planting, the Teak tree will begin to grow through several stages:
- Stage 1: Small sapling
- Stage 2: Small tree
- Stage 3: Medium tree
- Stage 4: Mature tree
The growth time for a Teak tree is approximately 16 hours in real time. To check the growth stage of the tree, players can inspect it by right-clicking.
Harvesting
Once the Teak tree matures, players can chop it down to obtain a Teak log. Each tree yields between 3 to 6 logs, and players can also receive Woodcutting experience for chopping down the tree. It’s worth noting that after a Teak tree is chopped down, the player can choose to plant another seed in the patch again, continuing the cycle of farming logs.

- Karamja: Located near the Karamja Lumberyard.
- Woodcutting Guild: Requires level 60 Woodcutting to enter.

For optimal farming, consider using tree fertilizer to boost growth rates and check back frequently to maximize productivity. Regularly rotate your use of patches as well to spread out your farming gains. Teaks are best planted in a designated farming schedule to ensure the best use of time and resources.
