- Normal Rocks: These rocks yield Copper ore and Tin ore, which are essential for players looking to level up their Smithing skill. Normal rocks are commonly found in locations such as the Lumbridge Swamp and Varrock’s South-east mine.
- Iron Rocks: Located in places like the Mining Guild and the Al Kharid mine, these rocks yield Iron ore, a crucial resource for any serious smithing endeavor. Players will find that each iron rock requires a Mining level of 15 to mine.
- Coal Rocks: Found in the Dwarven Mine and other areas, coal rocks allow players to collect Coal ore, a key ingredient for smelting certain metals and for crafting bars for higher-level smithing.
Mining with a bronze pickaxe is relatively straightforward. Players simply need to approach a rock, click on it, and their character will begin mining. The bronze pickaxe has a mining speed that allows players to gather ore efficiently at lower levels, though higher-level pickaxes, such as the iron and steel versions, will yield results more quickly as players progress.
The mining animation reflects the character’s strength and technique, entailing a swinging motion of the pickaxe against the rock, inevitably resulting in a pile of ore on the ground. The experience gained from mining varies depending on the type of ore mined; players earn more experience from higher-quality ores.
