Guard (Courthouse)
Guard (Courthouse)
The Guard (Courthouse) is a non-player character (NPC) found in the West Ardougne area of Gielinor within the game Old School RuneScape (OSRS). These guards are responsible for maintaining order and security within the courthouse and surrounding district.
Location
The Guard (Courthouse) can be located exclusively within the fenced area surrounding the West Ardougne Courthouse. Players can find them patrolling throughout the courtyard and main entrance of the courthouse. The area itself is situated in West Ardougne, near the western edge of the city.
Appearance
The Guards are clad in traditional Ardougne guard uniforms, complete with a distinctive helmet. Their attire reflects their role as enforcers of law and order within the region. The iconic blue and white color scheme is representative of Ardougne’s guards, making them easily identifiable.
Behavior
Guards show a standard AI behavior, patrolling the area and standing guard, giving a sense of vigilance and duty. They do not engage in combat with players nor interfere with player activities unless the laws of the area are violated.
Interaction
Players can interact with the Guards, however, their primary role is passive. The guards will respond with brief dialogue related to their duty and the courthouse’s functionality. They provide information to players regarding the courthouse and its operations but do not offer quests or rewards.
Combat
While guards typically do not engage players, they have notably low combat levels should the situation arise where they might need to defend the courthouse or its inhabitants. However, it is uncommon for players to provoke such an interaction.
Purpose
The primary purpose of the Guard (Courthouse) is to act as a visual representation of law enforcement in West Ardougne. They enhance the immersive experience of the game by adding depth to the game’s lore and environment. Additionally, they serve as a non-combat NPC to facilitate player engagement within the courthouse area.
