Bank guard

Bank Guard

Bank guards are non-player characters (NPCs) found in various banks throughout Gielinor. They play a vital role in maintaining security and protecting players’ assets within the banks.

Location

Bank guards can be located outside of most banks in the game, including:

Appearance

Bank guards are easily recognizable by their distinctive uniforms, which typically consist of armor that represents their affiliation with the bank. They generally wear a generic set of bronze armor, complemented by a tunic that gives them a formal yet stern appearance.

Functionality

The primary role of bank guards is to ensure the safety of players’ items and wealth stored within the bank. They enforce the bank’s rules and regulations, standing guard at the entrances to deter any would-be thieves and providing a sense of security for players conducting their business.

Combat

While bank guards are non-aggressive by nature, they will take action if a player attempts to steal or attack other players within their vicinity. If a player attacks another player within the bank’s vicinity, the bank guards will intervene, quickly teleporting to the scene and engaging the offender.

Dialogue

Bank guards have limited dialogue options, mostly providing players with basic information about banking and security. They may occasionally make comments about the importance of secure banking practices or warn players to keep their valuables safe.

Experience Boost

Though bank guards do not provide direct experience to players, their presence ensures a safe environment for players to deposit and withdraw their items, allowing them to engage in other activities without the fear of losing their assets to theft.
