Catapult-winch
Catapult-winch
The catapult-winch is an interactive object found in the Wilderness. It serves as part of the Sixth Age content and can be used by players during the Dragon Slayer II quest line.
When you approach the catapult-winch, it can be found located in the north-east section of the Wilderness, near the temple of Iorwerth. The winch is used to operate a catapult that attacks creatures that are present in the area, typically including the Giant Moltens.
To operate the catapult-winch, players must have at least 50 Ranged and a certain number of catapult ammunition. The winch can be pulled, allowing you to launch projectiles at your target. Once activated, players can also retrieve ammo by interacting with the winch once more, making it a strategic aspect of the gameplay in the Wilderness.
The visuals of the catapult-winch include a large wooden winch structure with ropes and wheels that give it a rugged, functional appearance. Players can see the catapult’s frame as they operate it, with mechanics that seem realistic, emphasizing the medieval artillery theme prevalent throughout Old School RuneScape.
This object is particularly useful for players engaging in combat and trying to eliminate Wilderness threats while strategically using the environment to their advantage. Being in the Wilderness, however, makes its use more perilous due to potential player-versus-player (PvP) encounters. Therefore, players must be cautious while they utilize the catapult-winch against the Wilderness monsters.
