Climbing rocks (Taverley)
To climb the rocks in Taverley, you will find the climbing rocks located in the Taverley area, specifically on the northern side of Taverley, just east of the Taverley Dungeon entrance. The climbing rocks are positioned on a steep cliff, offering access to higher ground. Players can often see these rocks marked on their minimap as a climbing icon.
To successfully navigate this rocky terrain, you must have a minimum Agility level of 30. You will benefit from using the ‘Climb’ option that is available when you right-click on the rocks. Once you have the required level, simply right-click the rocks and select ‘Climb’. Your character will perform an animation of scaling the rocks, which transports you to the top of the cliff.
Upon reaching the top, you’ll be treated to picturesque views of the surrounding area, including the serene landscapes of Taverley, the lush greenery, and the distant mountains in the background. Additionally, this elevated position provides a strategic advantage for exploring nearby locations and accessing other quests.
However, climbing the rocks does not come without risks. Be mindful of the local wildlife that may inhabit these areas, including aggressive creatures such as mountain lions and other animals that might pose a threat to lower-level players. Always ensure that you are sufficiently equipped to repel or evade these threats before attempting to climb.
It is worth noting that the climbing rocks are a one-way route. After climbing up, players will need to find alternate methods to descend, often requiring them to either jump down or traverse back to the base through a different path.
Climbing these rocks is a simple yet rewarding exercise in agility that can lead to exploration opportunities and exciting encounters in the otherwise tranquil realm of Taverley. Remember to keep your Agility level trained to unlock more climbing spots and enhance your overall movement efficiency across Gielinor!
